Fundraiser Gala

2023

The first in-person Ho'omau Foundation Fundraiser Gala was a resounding success. DJ Krisko kept the beat pumpin’ and Hula Halau 'O Nalua and 'Ote'a 'api gave us a night full of entertainment.

JoNelle Sood greeted every guest with a glass of Rose from Vino Vargas.

Our Emcee and Auctioneer, Georgiana Fernando created an atmosphere bursting with Aloha spirit. Noelani DeVincent flawlessly kicked off the Gala with a pule (prayer), oli (welcome chant) and led Fund a Need that painted a vivid picture of the Hawaiian culture and the inspiring journeys of our Recipients. The Gala truly came to life with their energy and passion.

Athena Nichols created our beautiful backdrop and along with Avi S, they checked in our guests, checked out guests who won items from the auctions or donated directly to our scholarship fund. Marci Dillon captured the evening and Ari Pereira helped sell leis for the heads or tails elimination game where Noelani and Ashish Sood flipped the coin to get to the last person standing who won $215 in gift cards.

We're incredibly grateful for their dedication and charisma.

There are so many people to thank, but to each of you who donated—whether it be your time, items for the silent auction, or something else—we say MAHALO NUI LOA!

The proceeds from this event will go towards the Kamery Lee Jr. scholarships for Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander (NHPI) students—helping young haumāna (students) unlock their full potential.

To our sponsors, SEVEN:THIRTY, Tripod Networking, Vino Vargas, HCCNC, thank you for helping us make this happen and for believing in our mission to help recipients succeed in their endeavors while maintaining and growing their cultural ties and identity.
